Busy Week/Month

So far, this week will have me see The International at the cinema, Psycho at a special screening for the current Hitchcock exhibit at Berlin, as well as a screening of The Pervert’s Guide to Cinema by and with Slavoj Žižek, who will also attend the screening on Friday (me excited).

Furthermore, The Arsenal Cinema in Berlin will screen a couple of films in March under the heading of Magical History Tour. Some films I’d love to see include: Fort Apache and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon for John Ford, The Killing by Kubrick, The Killers by Siodmak, some Douglas Sirk (including All That Heaven Allows), and – last but not least – The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp and The Red Shoes by Pressburger (who, I just been told, I gotta see).

All that doesn’t even include the Gerard Depardieu Retrospective also going on, which includes the awesome Chanson D’Amour, and the short film festival The United States of Mind at the Babylon, Berlin.

Quite clearly, there need to be at least 30 hours in the day or I’ll go insane and approach this level of mental unhinged-ness
